The BMW X3 is a sporty compact luxury SUV accommodating five in a well-built cabin. Powered by a choice of relatively efficient turbocharged engines with 4 and 6-cylinders that send up to 300 hp to all wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission, the X3 combines good straight-line performance with entertaining handling.
Changes for 2013
The BMW X3's former base 6-cylinder engine is replaced by a 240 hp 4-cylinder turbo unit for 2013. Apart from that all models now come standard with start/stop technology, a power liftgate and Driving Dynamics Control.

The BMW X3 xDrive28i comes standard with dual-zone automatic air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, 8-way power driver bucket seat with memory, 8-way power passenger bucket seat, split-folding bench rear seat, tilting and telescoping steering-wheel, AM/FM/HD radio with CD-player, wireless connectivity, ABS, stability control, front airbags, front side airbags, side-curtain airbags, tire-pressure monitor, emergency communication system and adaptive suspension.
Features available on other trims include power sunroof, Xenon headlights and adaptive headlights.
