The BMW X3 is a sporty compact luxury SUV accommodating five in a well-built cabin. Powered by a broad choice of relatively efficient and powerful engines, the X3 combines entertaining handling with good straight-line performance. Engine choices include a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine driving 240 hp to either the rear or all wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission that is shared with the all-wheel-drive only 300 hp 6-cylinder and 180 hp 4-cylinder turbodiesel powertrains.
