Changes for 2012
For 2012, the former non-turbo 6-cylinder powered sDrive30i trim is replaced by the sDrive28i, which comes powered by a 2-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 240 hp. Two transmissions are available with the sDrive28i, a 6-speed manual and 8-speed automatic.

The BMW Z4 sDrive28i comes standard with air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, keyless entry, 6-way front bucket seats, tilting and telescoping steering-wheel, AM/FM/HD radio with CD-player, wireless connectivity, ABS, stability control, front airbags, front side airbags, knee airbag, tire-pressure monitor, emergency communication system, Xenon headlights, adaptive headlights and adaptive suspension.
Features available on other trims include dual-zone automatic air conditioning, leather seat-upholstery, power front seat adjustments and memory driver seat.
