The Encore brings the traditional Buick virtues to the compact SUV segment for an affordable price. Despite its very compact dimensions, the Encore is well-built and offers sufficient space for four people and seats a maximum of five. Backseat space is confined for taller passengers, however. On the road, the Encore is comfortable, quiet and sure footed thanks to optional all-wheel-drive. The 1.4-liter turbo engines, though not particularly strong, are frugal on gas and provide adequate performance.
