2011 Chevrolet Avalanche
Our Rating:
Bodystyle:
Class:
The Chevrolet Avalanche combines the comfortable interior of an SUV with the versatility of a pickup truck. Based on the Chevy Silverado 1500, the Avalanche features seating for up to six in a roomy interior that is larger than usual crew cab cabins. Especially the rear seat benefits from the added space. The cargo bed on the other hand is smaller than a pickup's, but thanks to the practical mid-gate, a part of the interior can be used to extend the loading bay. In addition, the Chevy Avalanche can tow up to 8,100 lbs. thanks to a 5.3-liter V8 that offers adequate performance. Optional all-wheel-drive, a comfortable ride and over nine inches of ground clearance further add to this vehicle's appeal. Changes for 2011

The Chevrolet Avalanche LS comes standard with dual-zone air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, cloth seat-upholstery, 8-way front bucket seats, split-folding bench rear seat, tilting steering-wheel, AM/FM/Satellite radio with CD-player, internet access, wireless connectivity, ABS, stability control, front airbags, front side airbags, side-curtain airbags, tire-pressure monitor, emergency communication system and trailering hitch.
