The Chevrolet Equinox is a compact SUV with seating for five in a spacious and upscale cabin. The Equinox comes powered by a base 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine with 182 hp, while a 3.6-liter V6 with 301 hp is available on higher trims. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and feature optional all-wheel-drive.
Changes for 2013
For 2013, the Chevrolet Equinox receives a 3.6-liter V6 with 301 hp instead of the former V6. An eight-way power front passenger seat is standard on LTZ and available on 2LT models. New options include a Safety package, Power convenience package, Rear-seat entertainment system and Chevrolet MyLink Radio with Navigation available on 2LT and LTZ only.

The Chevrolet Equinox LS comes standard with air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, cloth seat-upholstery, 6-way driver bucket seat, 4-way passenger bucket seat, split-folding bench rear seat, tilting and telescoping steering-wheel, AM/FM/Satellite radio with CD-player, internet access, wireless connectivity, ABS, stability control, front airbags, front side airbags, side-curtain airbags, tire-pressure monitor and emergency communication system.
