The Chevrolet Equinox is a compact SUV with seating for five in a spacious and upscale cabin. The Equinox comes powered by a base 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine with 182 hp, while a 3.6-liter V6 with 301 hp is available on higher trims. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and feature optional (4-cyl.) or standard (V6) all-wheel-drive.
Changes for 2016
The Chevy Equinox receives a mild exterior and interior makeover for 2016. LED daytime running lamps are now standard on LT and LTZ models, while Side Blind Zone Alert and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are optional. Inside, the Equinox benefits from a revised center stack with new storage shelf and updated control graphics. L and LS models now receive a new audio system featuring a seven-inch screen and enhanced interior fabrics as standard.

The Chevrolet Equinox L comes standard with air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, cloth seat-upholstery, 6-way driver bucket seat, 4-way passenger bucket seat, split-folding bench rear seat, tilting and telescoping steering-wheel, AM/FM radio, internet access, wireless connectivity, ABS, stability control, front airbags, front side airbags, side-curtain airbags, tire-pressure monitor, emergency communication system and parking assist.
