The Chevrolet Volt is a futuristically styled compact sedan powered by a unique electric powertrain with 149 hp. The Volt has a battery-range of 35 miles and allows external recharging. The battery-range is further extended to over 350 miles by a 1.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that recharges the battery while driving. Thanks to its comfortable ride and quiet cabin with seating for four, the Volt is perfectly useable everyday. The low running costs are a bonus, too, but are partially offset by the high purchase price.
