The Chevrolet Volt is a futuristically styled compact sedan powered by a unique electric powertrain with 149 hp. The Volt has a battery-range of 35 miles and allows external recharging. The battery-range is further extended to over 350 miles by a 1.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that recharges the battery while driving. Thanks to its comfortable ride and quiet cabin with seating for four, the Volt is perfectly useable everyday. The low running costs are a bonus, too, but are partially offset by the high purchase price. Changes for 2011
For 2011, the Chevrolet Volt is all-new. The Chevrolet Volt Sedan comes standard with automatic air conditioning, cruise control, navigation system, power windows, cloth seat-upholstery, 6-way front bucket seats, folding bucket rear seats, tilting and telescoping steering-wheel, AM/FM/Satellite radio with CD-player, internet access, wireless connectivity, ABS, stability control, front airbags, front side airbags, side-curtain airbags, knee airbag, tire-pressure monitor and emergency communication system.
