The Ford Edge is a five-seat mid-size SUV that blends car-like road-manners with the bold styling and versatile and spacious interior of an SUV. Powered by a base 3.5-liter V6 engine with 285 hp mated to a 6-speed automatic, the Edge is neither particularly sporty, nor extremely capable off-road, but well suited to everyday use. The Sport model is more entertaining thanks to a 3.7-liter V6 with 305 hp and a sport-tuned suspension. All-wheel-drive is available on all but SE trims.
Changes for 2011
For 2011, the Ford Edge receives improvements to the interior and fresh exterior styling with a new grille, hood, fenders, lamps, bumper and air intakes up front and tail lights, liftgate, wheels, and exhaust system outlets at the rear. Underneath the Edge is an updated suspension and an improved braking system. While the standard 3.5-liter V6 gets more power, the Sport features a new 3.7-liter V6.
The 2011 Ford Edge SUV is available in 7 trim levels.
The Ford Edge SE comes standard with air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, cloth seat-upholstery, 6-way driver bucket seat, 4-way passenger bucket seat, split-folding bench rear seat, tilting and telescoping steering-wheel, AM/FM radio with CD-player, ABS, stability control, front airbags, front side airbags, side-curtain airbags and tire-pressure monitor.
Features available on other trims include dual-zone automatic air conditioning, leather seat-upholstery, power driver-seat adjustments, heated front seats, memory driver seat, HD-radio, satellite-radio, internet access, wireless connectivity and parking assist.
