A complete redesign for 2013 has turned the Ford Escape into a modern and agile compact SUV, the sleek exterior complemented by excellent handling and modern engines. Power comes from a choice of 4-cylinder engines mated to a 6-speed automatic, a front-wheel-drive only 2.5-liter unit with 168 hp and two turbocharged powertrains with 178 hp (1.6-liter) and 240 hp (2-liter) optionally available with all-wheel-drive. Inside, the Escape is well built and remains versatile with space for five and plenty of cargo space.
