The GMC Acadia is a crossover SUV combining a spacious and versatile cabin for up to eight people with a smooth ride and responsive handling. Powered by a 3.6-liter V6 with 288 hp mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, the Acadia offers decent fuel-economy and optional all-wheel-drive across the lineup.
Changes for 2012
The GMC Acadia receives various detail updates for 2012. An accessory power outlet is added to center console, while door mirrors with an integral blind zone spotter are now standard on SLT and Denali trims. The latter also receives standard hill-hold assist braking.

The GMC Acadia SL comes standard with front and rear air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, cloth seat-upholstery, 6-way driver bucket seat, 4-way passenger bucket seat, split-folding bench rear seat, split-folding third-row bench seat, tilting and telescoping steering-wheel, AM/FM/Satellite radio with CD-player, internet access, ABS, stability control, front airbags, front side airbags, side-curtain airbags, tire-pressure monitor and emergency communication system.
Features available on other trims include dual-zone automatic air conditioning, head-up display, power sunroof, leather seat-upholstery, power driver-seat adjustments, heated front seats, ventilated front seats, memory driver seat, bucket rear seats, folding rear-seat, wireless connectivity, parking assist and trailering hitch.
