The Honda Pilot is a roomy and versatile mid-size SUV that offers seating for up to eight in three rows of seating. A smooth 3.5-liter V6 with cylinder deactivation mated to a 5-speed automatic provides good fuel economy and adequate power. Overall, the Pilot is focused on comfort and safety rather than outright handling, featuring a comfortable and composed ride, but also noticable body-roll and vague steering feel. Thanks to optional all-wheel-drive, the Pilot remains sure-footed, however, and excels with good safety equipment and crash test ratings.
Changes for 2015
A new Special Edition (SE) trim joins the Pilot lineup for 2015. Over the Pilot EX, the SE adds sporty pewter gray aluminum alloy wheels, special SE badging, a tilting power sunroof, Sirius XM satellite radio and DVD rear entertainment system. In addition, all Pilot models now come with remote keyless entry, a rear-view camera and an integrated Class III trailer hitch.
The 2015 Honda Pilot SUV is available in 10 trim levels.
The Honda Pilot LX comes standard with front dual-zone automatic air conditioning, rear air-conditioning, cruise control, power windows, cloth seat-upholstery, 6-way driver bucket seat, 4-way passenger bucket seat, split-folding bench rear seat, split-folding third-row bench seat, tilting and telescoping steering-wheel, AM/FM radio with CD-player, wireless connectivity, ABS, stability control, front airbags, front side airbags, side-curtain airbags, tire-pressure monitor, parking assist and trailering hitch.
