The Hyundai Tucson is a handsome compact crossover SUV that seats five in a stylish and well-equipped cabin. The Tucson lives up to its sporty styling with nimble handling, but could use more powerful engines. The base 2.0-liter 4-cylinder produces 165 hp and offers only moderate performance. At 176 hp, the 2.4-liter 4-cylinder has slightly more power and, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, provides good fuel-economy. It is also available with all-wheel-drive.
