The Hyundai Tucson is a handsome compact crossover SUV that seats five in a stylish, roomy, and well-equipped cabin. The Tucson lives up to its sporty styling with nimble handling, but could use more powerful engines. The base 2.0-liter 4-cylinder produces 164 hp and offers only moderate performance. It is joined by a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that produces slightly more power and, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, provides good fuel-economy. Both engines are available with all-wheel-drive.
