The Jeep Cherokee is a capable SUV powered by either a fuel-efficient 2.4-liter inline-4 with 184 hp or a powerful 3.2-liter V6 with 271 hp, both mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission and available with all-wheel-drive. The Cherokee offers seating for five in a spacious interior and benefits from a fine ride and excellent off-road capability, especially in Trailhawk trim.
Changes for 2016
The Jeep Cherokee adds a top-of-the-line Overland trim for 2016. The Sport trim is now available with the V6 engine, and models equipped with the 8.4-inch touchscreen feature Uconnect with the Drag and Drop menu bar, Siri Eyes Free and a "Do-Not Disturb" feature.
The 2016 Jeep Cherokee SUV is available in 9 trim levels.
The Jeep Cherokee Sport comes standard with air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, cloth seat-upholstery, 6-way front bucket seats, split-folding bench rear seat, tilting and telescoping steering-wheel, AM/FM radio, wireless connectivity, ABS, stability control, front airbags, front side airbags, side-curtain airbags, knee airbag, rear side airbags, tire-pressure monitor and parking assist.
Features available on other trims include dual-zone automatic air conditioning, navigation system, power sunroof, leather seat-upholstery, power front seat adjustments, heated front seats, ventilated front seats, memory driver seat, heated steering-wheel, HD-radio, satellite-radio, internet access, emergency communication system and Xenon headlights.
