The Jeep Cherokee is a capable SUV powered by either a fuel-efficient 2.4-liter inline-4 with 184 hp or a powerful 3.2-liter V6 with 271 hp, both mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission and available with all-wheel-drive. The Cherokee offers seating for five in a spacious interior and benefits from a fine ride and excellent off-road capability, especially in Trailhawk trim.
Changes for 2018
The Jeep Cherokee sees a realignment of its trim nomenclature for 2018. The Latitude trim now marks the base, while the former Sport trim is deleted. A new Latitude Plus trim adds an 8.4-inch Uconnect audio system with color touch screen, SiriusXM Radio, smart key, cloth seats with leather inserts, leather steering-wheel with audio controls, eight-way power driver seat with power four-way lumbar support, and 17-inch aluminum wheels. The Trailhawk now comes with standard dual-zone automatic aircon, and shares a Blind-spot Monitor and Rear Cross Path Alert with the Limited, which also gets a power liftgate.
The 2018 Jeep Cherokee SUV is available in 9 trim levels.
The Jeep Cherokee Latitude comes standard with air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, cloth seat-upholstery, 6-way front bucket seats, split-folding bench rear seat, tilting and telescoping steering-wheel, AM/FM radio, internet access, wireless connectivity, ABS, stability control, front airbags, front side airbags, side-curtain airbags, knee airbag, rear side airbags, tire-pressure monitor, Xenon headlights and parking assist.
Features available on other trims include dual-zone automatic air conditioning, navigation system, leather seat-upholstery, power front seat adjustments, heated front seats, ventilated front seats, memory driver seat, heated steering-wheel, HD-radio, satellite-radio and emergency communication system.
