Slotting in the Mercedes-Benz lineup between the GLA and GLC, the GLB-Class is a rugged-looking subcompact luxury SUV that stands out in its class and among its siblings with seating for up to seven in a spacious and upscale cabin with available three rows. On the road, the GLB features a smooth ride and, although not a sporty as its smaller sibling, car-like handling. It also benefits from a strong and rather fuel-efficient turbo 4-cylinder that sends 221 hp through an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission to either the front or optionally all wheels. But even despite the AWD and its rugged looks, the GLB is not intended for too much off-road use.
