For 2006, the Chevrolet Uplander gets a long overdue boost in power by a new 3.9l 6-cylinder engine with 240hp, initially available only with front-wheel-drive. On the safety side, front and second row side-impact airbags are finally an option, although side-curtain airbags are still nowhere to be found. Two new exterior colors, Bordeaux Red and Amber Bronze Metallic, round off the changes for this year.
