The Toyota Prius is a hybrid sedan combining unique styling and seating for five with outstanding fuel mileage. The centerpiece of the Prius is a frugal and reliable, but only modestly strong 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine that, supported by an electric generator, sends a total of 121 hp to the front wheels through a continuously variable automatic transmission. As a result of its bias on fuel economy, the Prius lacks sportiness, but provides a good ride and a modern cabin. Changes for 2017
