The Volkswagen Tiguan is an upscale compact SUV that seats five in a spacious and well-built cabin. Powered by a fine 2-liter turbo 4-cylinder mated to six-speed manual and automatic transmissions, the Tiguan combines a smooth ride with sporty handling and optional all-wheel-drive. Cargo space in the Tiguan is confined, however, whereas safety equipment fairly comprehensive.
Changes for 2013
For 2013, the Volkswagen Tiguan comes standard equipped with a leather-wrapped multifunction steering-wheel and a leather shift knob, as well as an electronic parking brake across the lineup. The former LE trim is now available anymore.

The Volkswagen Tiguan S comes standard with air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, cloth seat-upholstery, 4-way front bucket seats, split-folding bench rear seat, tilting and telescoping steering-wheel, AM/FM radio with CD-player, wireless connectivity, ABS, stability control, front airbags, front side airbags, side-curtain airbags and tire-pressure monitor.
Features available on other trims include dual-zone automatic air conditioning, navigation system, power sunroof, leather seat-upholstery, power front seat adjustments, heated front seats, memory front seats, six-disc changer, satellite-radio, Xenon headlights, adaptive headlights and parking assist.
