The Hyundai Tucson is a handsome compact crossover SUV that seats five in a stylish and well-equipped cabin. The Tucson lives up to its modern styling with competent handling and a smooth ride, but could use more powerful engines. The base 2.0-liter 4-cylinder produces 161 hp and offers only moderate performance. It is joined by a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine with slightly more power (181 hp) and better fuel-economy. Both engines are available with all-wheel-drive and come mated to 6-speed automatic transmissions.
